Trade Union Week

From: January 14th 2008 until January 17th 2008

The second Trade Union Week will be held at the Scottish Parliament in January 2008. The week of events is designed to showcase the STUC's and affiliated union's campaigns, priorities and interests in and around the Parliament.

The week will enable the STUC to maximise formal engagement with MSPs and the main political parties in the Parliament through a series of events. Each day there will be different exhibitions of current STUC projects funded in part or fully by the Scottish Executive, including the Skills & Lifelong Learning Team and its work in Scottish union learning. An evening reception for MSPs is also planned, as the highlight of the week, showcasing the STUC's work in the Scottish Parliament and in particular the organisation's work around lifelong learning.

Many Local Learning Forums across Scotland will hold local events leading up to and during Trade Union Week. Local Learning Forums will support Trade Union Week. Further information will be available soon, so please check back often!

A meeting with MSPs and Parliamentary Assistants will take place during Trade Union Week which will centre around the lifelong learning agenda. More information will be available in due course.

If you would like to get involved with Trade Union Week, contact your union.
