The second Trade Union Week will be held at the Scottish Parliament in January 2008. The week of events is designed to showcase the STUC's and affiliated union's campaigns, priorities and interests in and around the Parliament. The week will provide the STUC with an excellent opportunity to meet with them individually to highlight trade union priorities for 2008 - 2011.

The week will also enable the STUC to maximise formal engagement with MSPs and the main political parties in the Parliament through a series of other events. Each day there will be different exhibitions of current STUC projects funded in part or fully by the Scottish Government, including the Skills & Lifelong Learning Team and its work in Scottish union learning. An evening reception for MSPs is also planned, as the highlight of the week, showcasing the STUC's work in the Scottish Parliament and in particular the organisation's work around lifelong learning.
