Hi Hopes Final Conference
From: February 11th 2008 until February 11th 2008Hi Hopes (Highlands & Islands Harnessing Opportunities for Partnership Equality & Sustainability) is the first geographically-based 'Development Partnership' in Scotland. It aims to extend the provision of quality life long learning opportunities and to improve equality of access for people in the Highlands & Islands. The project is part funded through the European social fund under the EQUAL Community Initiative, and is part of the European Union's strategy to fight discrimination and inequality in the European labour market. They have helped to fund Hi Hopes making it possible to supply learning to the people who need it most.
At Hi Hopes we've been working with many great organisations to improve and encourage learning within the Highlands & Islands. Through this partnership approach the project has made a real difference to learners' lives and inspired people to better themselves and their communities.
As the project draws to a close we'd like to show you how we've made a difference. You're invited to come along to Drumossie Hotel, Inverness on 11th February 2008 to see what we've done to encourage and inspire learning in the Highlands & Islands.
You will be able to view products produced at partner exhibition stands, attend a range of interactive workshops and hear talks from influential speakers such as William Roe, Chairman of Highlands & Islands Enterprise and Maureen Watt MSP Minister for Schools and Skills - an inspirational speaker with years of experience in business and education.
