The Development Fund with Scottish Union Learning

Scottish Union Learning has secured funding from the European Social Fund (ESF) to support trade unions in developing their work around lifelong learning. The Development Fund initially commenced in April 2010.

Evaluations

It was a requirement of the ESF projects that began in 2008 in both the Highlands and Islands and Lowlands and Uplands Scotland that Scottish Union Learning should commission independent evaluations of the projects.

The evaluations of the Union Learning Highlands and Islands Project and the Migrant Worker Project were both undertaken by Dr Catriona Burgess and were completed in September 2011. The evaluation of the Union Learning Programme for Scotland in Lowlands and Uplands Scotland was undertaken by Stewart Research and SCER (Scottish Centre for Employment Research). This evaluation was completed in November 2011.
