STUC - The official STUC website. The purpose of STUC is to co-ordinate, develop and articulate the views and policies of the trade union movement in Scotland and, through the creation of real social partnership, to promote: trade unionism; equality and social justice; the creation and maintenance of high quality jobs; and the public sector delivery of services.

Scottish Union Learning Online Forum - Visit the Scottish Union Learning Online Forum to view and share news on union learning in Scotland. This Forum is a resource and network for Union Learning Reps, SULF Project Workers and Union Officials.

Unionlearn - Information about trade union education including ULR training Union Rep and Health & Safety courses in Scotland.

Tayside Local Learning Forum - This website was set up by the Tayside Learning Reps Forum to share ideas and expertise to provide a better service to their members. The site also aims to help learners access more information about learning opportunities in Tayside and the surrounding areas.

Adult Learning Web Resources - A gateway website created in Aberdeen, with free educational resources for adult learners of all abilities. The site has a focus on Scotland. The site covers EAL/ESOL, Family Learning, ASL/Special Needs, Numeracy, Literacy, Scottish Writers & Scottish Politics. There are also links to BBC Skillswise programmes and TUC unionlearn links.

BBC Learning - This site provides online learning, support and advice. The site is easy to use, the learning is fun and there are some great quizzes!

Careers Scotland - The site provides information about the work Careers Scotland does with people, employers and the learning and guidance community.

ChildcareLink - For information about child care facilities in your area, log onto this site.

City & Guilds - City & Guilds is the UK's leading vocational awarding body. If you are looking for information about vocational qualifications, this site is well worth a visit.

College Study Abroad - Study abroad programmes in colleges around the world with accredited programmes.

Equal - Equal is a European Social Fund (ESF) Community Initiative, providing funds to projects which test and promote new means of combating discrimination and inequalities in the labour market.

Highlands and Islands Enterprise - Useful website for information about the Highlands & Islands. HIE's activities include: provision of business support services, delivery of training and learning programmes and assistance for community and cultural projects.

hi-ways - hi-ways is a partnership of public agencies in Highlands & Islands. The hi-ways site provides information to all public service information across the Highlands & Islands. It has a section on learning and is useful for links to other sites.

ILA Scotland - ILA Scotland is a Scottish Government scheme for anyone 18 or over who lives in Scotland. The amount of funding you receive will depend on how much you earn.

LEAD Scotland - Log onto this site for information about Lead Scotland, (Linking Education and Disability) a voluntary organisation which supports disabled people and carers to access learning.

Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework - Confused about different qualifications and credits? Log onto this site for helpful explanations about the different qualifications and credit levels.

Scottish Government - If you are interested in policy, you can find information about the Scottish Government's policies/strategies on Lifelong Learning on this site.

Scottish Qualificaitons Authority - This site provides information about the SQA, the national body in Scotland responsible for the development, accreditation, assessment and certification of qualifications other than degrees.

Sector Skills Alliance Scotland - If you are seeking information about the work of sector skills councils this is a good site to start your search.

Skye & Lochalsh Learning Centre Network - Making it easy for you to study and learn in Skye and Wester Ross.

WEA Women@work - A Highland-wide women's network, which provides information, learning and support for working women in the Highlands. Check out the site for courses/learning events in your area of the Highlands & Islands.

Workbase Scotland - Workbase Scotland is a leading not-for-profit provider of employee and organisational development. It has an established a 'partnership' or organic approach to working with employees and their employer in the workplace. Usdaw - Usdaw's Lifelong Learning website is a micro site within Usdaw's main website. The Lifelong Learning micro site contains news, information, downloadable publications and guides, copies of agreements that Usdaw has negotiated with employers, and useful contacts. One section of the micro site is dedicated to Scottish issues. Members and non-members can subscribe to get free email alerts as new items are placed in the site.

UCATT - The "Rights on Site" training website of the Union of Construction, Allied Trades and Technicians (UCATT), Britain's only specialist construction workers union.

EIS - The dedicated EIS Learning Representative website, which is located within the main EIS website, was set up to raise awareness of CPD amongst members and of the role of ULRs. The site lists contact details for all EIS ULRs and there is also information on the training required to become an EIS ULR. There is a password protected part of the site which can be accessed only by accredited ULRs and contains relevant information, including the ULR Handbook, as well as discussion forums where LRs can discuss issues and advise of best practice.

CWU - Access the Regional Page from the main CWU education website for Scotland. The regional Scottish area covers everything from courses to downloadable resources.

Unite-Amicus ULR Blogspot - An interactive web log started for Unite-Amicus learning reps in Scotland, but open to all. Learning reps are invited to comment or to become contributors and post articles about learning at work.

FBU ULR Blog - The FBU SULF project is a partnership between the Fire and Rescue Services of Scotland and the FBU to promote Lifelong Learning through the Union Learning Rep Network. This site is an interactive resource on learning agreements, free online courses and much more!

PCS Scotland - Visit this site and click on the "Learning and Education Services" link for more information on PCS lifelong learning initiatives in Scotland.
