The STUC Archive

Have you ever wondered how the Scottish Trades Union Congress was started? What the first motion on worker rights was? How trade unions began? Take a journey through history at the STUC Archive, located at Glasgow Caledonian University.

The Archive is updated annually, and holds the records of the Scottish Trades Union Congress and dates back to its formation in 1897. Holdings include General Council minutes and papers, STUC annual reports, background papers, campaign material, correspondence ephemera and publications. The STUC Archive is a free resource to the public.
