STUC. Scottish Union Learning. The learning force behind Scotland's workers.
On Track
On Track was an academic and cultural preparation programme active in colleges across the west of Scotland. On Track built on existing provision within its partner colleges to ensure learners were equipped with the confidence, skills and information they required to make successful transitions within and from college. Unfortunately, funding for the On Track Programme ceased in July 2011.
The On Track Programme has provided services to trade unions in partnership with Scottish Union Learning since 2009. More than 150 union learners have benefitted from the On Track Programme in that time.
Resources for Unions
On Track materials for learners are highly adaptable and can be complemented by a range of other resources that support participants in their learning journeys. Trade unions are welcome to adapt these materials as necessary, but please use the On Track logo to credit the programme for its resources.
These materials are easy to use and help build the confidence of learners. The resources on this memory stick have been put together over the lifetime of the On Track programme by a variety of people, including On Track tutors and staff from partner organisations. The On Track programme is very keen for students and staff from educational bodies to make use of these resources to support learner transitions. We would only ask that the following principles are respected:
On Track materials must not be used for commercial purposes.
If a resource was developed by a named On Track tutor, his or her name will appear at the foot of the page. We would request that acknowledgement is made of the author if reproducing any of our resources as follows: “Created by (author’s name) for the On Track Programme on behalf of the West of Scotland Wider Access Forum, 2010”.
If the resource has no author at the bottom of the page it will have been developed by On Track programme staff. Please cite as follows: “Created by the On Track Programme on behalf of the West of Scotland Wider Access Forum, 2010”.
Some of the On Track materials were adapted from existing resources with permission of partner organisations. Please seek permission from the original author to reproduce material of this type.
