Online Webinar, Crowdcast

The UN Conference of the Parties, COP26 is coming to Glasgow in November, the centre of the global climate change negotiations. As we respond to the climate emergency, and the pressing need to create new green jobs, Scottish Union Learning is working with The Open University in Scotland and STUC to develop a webinar on upskilling and re-skilling in the workplace.

This webinar will focus on a presentation from Stephen Peake, Professor of Climate Change and Energy at the Open University and will feature input from STUC and Scottish Union Learning.

Stephen will outline how climate change and climate policies will impact Scotland in the next decades and the implications for jobs, qualifications, training and skills.

Francis Stuart is a Policy Officer at STUC. Francis is an STUC delegate to COP26 and is taking forward STUC's work on climate change.

Wendy Burton is the Director of Scottish Union Learning. SUL is supporting unions to drive forward up-skilling and re-skilling programmes for workers across Scotland.

  • Chair: Wendy Burton, Director, Scottish Union Learning
  • Speaker: Prof. Stephen Peake, Open University
  • Speaker: Francis Stuart, Policy Officer, STUC
