Fair Work Dissemination Event 2019

On 24^th January 2019, Scottish Union Learning held a dissemination event in the Albany Learning and Conference Centre in Glasgow.

The event was attended by representatives from unions, learners who had participated in leadership courses, and Scottish Government representatives.

The event was an opportunity for unions participating in Scottish Union Learning's Fair Work: Leadership and Equality Programme to feedback on the success of the courses they ran. Thirteen unions presented at the dissemination event, and guest speaker Mary Alexander, who sits on the Fair Work Convention, delivered a speech on Fair Work. The STUC General Secretary Grahame Smith also delivered a speech on Trade Unions and Fair Work. The event provided a great opportunity for unions to share good practice, and it has opened the door to potential cross-union work in the future.
