Open University launches skills support for workers

With support from the Scottish Funding Council, the Open University has launched a series of fully funded courses offering vital post-pandemic skills.

Workers who are being furloughed or facing potential redundancy due to COVID-19 are being encouraged to apply for a new selection of fully funded courses aimed at supporting workers looking to upskill.

According to the Open University:

The Upskilling Modules will be delivered online through flexible distance learning from October 2020 and they are open to everyone with no previous qualifications required. Applications must be submitted by 24 July 2020.

The new modules look to support those who have been impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to develop new skills, particularly with the future being so uncertain at present.
