The SCQF Partnership Conference: Recognising Skills in a Changing Landscape

The Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) is celebrating 21 years as the national qualifications framework for Scotland. The SCQF plays a vital role in the recognition of the skills and experience of individuals in Scotland.

The SCQF Partnership Conference, Recognising Skills in a Changing Landscape on 24 March 2022 is an online event running from 10am-3.30pm, and intends to highlight the important part the SCQF plays in supporting learner journeys in these rapidly changing times. It will celebrate the achievements of individuals, showcase best practice in the use of the SCQF across a range of sectors, as well as raise awareness of the SCQFP’s latest projects and developments amongst partners and stakeholders.

The Conference aims to:

  • Explore what the SCQF can do to support upskilling and reskilling in a rapidly changing environment
  • Showcase all aspects of the Framework demonstrating its breadth and flexibility as a tool to facilitate lifelong learning in Scotland.
  • Highlight links with current Scottish Government policies
  • Explore how we can make more use of the SCQF to support lifelong learning in Scotland

This event will provide the opportunity to bring delegates together to:

  • Hear from prominent speakers on issues relating to lifelong learning in Scotland and attend a variety of engaging workshops showcasing the many ways in which the SCQF is supporting learners in re-skilling and upskilling
  • Contribute to discussion on how we can make more use of the SCQF in supporting skills recognition and learning journeys
  • Hear from presenters on how to facilitate skills recognition in a rapidly changing environment and other areas of topical interest such as the education reform agenda
