Scottish Union Learning - Podcast - Equality Matters!

Scottish Union Learning circulated an equalities survey in Spring 2019 to allow reps to feedback areas they feel they need support on. One of the factors noted by respondents was the desire for webinar sessions for Equality Reps. We explored the possibility of delivering webinars, and spoke with several members of the STUC Disabled Workers' Committee. It was decided, through trialling of various webinar software, that it was not accessible enough. We will therefore be organising an equalities podcast to be released once every two months, beginning in November 2019.

The podcasts will involve a range of speakers, and will act as mini development sessions for Equality Reps. Reps will have the opportunity to hear about pertinent issues around equality and will have the chance to develop their skills and knowledge.
