Money Advice Scotland - free sessions - February schedule

Money Advice Scotland's Events Schedule for February 2024 is below. All of the sessions are free of charge.

Stress Management Workshop 

MAS' wellbeing training is open to anyone working within free-to-client money advice; whether in support, administration, management or an adviser role.

This workshop offers dedicated time and space to explore wellbeing, how to identify and deal with stress and overwhelm, as well as ways to improve resilience. Participants will discuss and reflect throughout, to increase self-awareness and benefit from peer-support and interaction which brings added perspective and insight to these sessions.

In this workshop, participants will:

  • Discuss workplace wellbeing issues such as feelings of stress and overwhelm.

  • Examine factors contributing to workplace stress.

  • Explore different models of wellbeing and stress management.

  • Consider stress management strategies to apply to working life. 

This workshop is taking place on Teams, on Monday 5th February, from 2pm - 4pm

Apprentices Webinar: Money Management 

As part of National Apprentice Week 2024, Money Advice Scotland are running a webinar on Money Management. This will include: how to budget, savings goals, what information is on your payslip and how to ensure you are being paid correctly, deductions from pay, workplace contracts, young workers rights and some information on pensions. This session will last one hour and will be delivered via Microsoft teams.

Protecting Your Wellbeing Workshop

MAS' wellbeing training is open to anyone working within free-to-client money advice, whether in support, administration, management or an adviser role. 

This workshop offers dedicated time and space to explore boundary-setting at work to mitigate stress and overwhelm, and considers how to practically improve and sustain wellbeing through self-care practice. Participants will discuss and reflect throughout, to increase self-awareness and benefit from peer-support and interaction which brings added perspective and insight to these sessions.

In this workshop, participants will:

  • Consider the importance of boundaries at work and how to communicate them to others.

  • Discuss barriers to performing self-care and how to overcome these in working life.

  • Explore self -care practices, tools and techniques to establish a self-care routine.

Virtual Wellbeing Get-together - Advisers' Session 

Join Money Advice Scotland virtually with a tea or coffee in this relaxed and informal session. We'll discuss preliminary findings from our Money Advice Workforce Wellbeing Survey as well as undertake a few activities to support wellbeing at work. 

 This virtual get-together is taking place on Teams, on Tuesday, 27th February, from 10am - 12:30pm
