COVID-19 Learning Fund Update

In view of the ongoing situation in relation to Coronavirus, it seems appropriate that all remaining courses in the 2019/2020 Learning Fund programme organised through Scottish Union Learning (SUL) should be cancelled/rearranged, or in the case of accredited courses postponed, with a view to completion later in the year.

The exception to this will be courses that can be delivered remotely. This covers all classroom/workplace courses due to run before 31 March 2020.

This decision has been made to minimise the risk to STUC staff, union staff/reps, learners, course providers and employers. Appropriate cancellation charges will be met by SUL.

Members of the SUL Team will keep in touch with unions and providers, on an ongoing basis, to discuss arrangements for courses in year 2 of the programme (2020/2021). No courses will be arranged before 31 May 2020, but unions should continue to submit course requests at an early stage for dates further on in the year.

The situation in relation to Coronavirus will be monitored and further guidance will be issued, as required, until the situation has abated.

If you have any questions in relation to this please contact learning@stuc.org.uk or a SUL Development Officer.
