Zero Waste Scotland
Zero Waste Scotland is funded by the Scottish Government to support the delivery of its Circular Economy Strategy and other low carbon and resource efficiency policy priorities. They provide support, guidance and, in some cases, funding to a wide range of partner organisations. This includes private businesses, the public sector, local authorities, community groups, industry bodies and unions.
The SWITCH Forum
Zero Waste Scotland is a key partner on the SWITCH Forum (Scottish Waste Industry Training, Competency, Health & Safety). This is a multi-partnership forum made up of organisations across all sectors within the resource management industry, including private waste management companies, advisory bodies, local authorities, Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM), Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA), Scottish Trade Union Congress (STUC), Scottish Union Learning (SUL), and the Scottish Government amongst others.
The Forum aims to provide leadership by working collaboratively to raise standards of health and safety, training, learning and development, and technical competence. It ultimately aims to promote the Scottish resource management industry as an attractive career choice.
