Equality Rep Network Resources

This section includes important resources on key topics reps identified as needing greater support on. This section is being updated regularly. While some of these resources are framed in a Trade Union context, others are from independent organisations, which should be considered when gathering information to relay to members.

Topics covered here include information on flexible working, equality legislation, Fair Work, Disability Discrimination, Mental Health, LGBTQ+ issues, issues around race discrimination, and equal pay. Please get in touch if you require information on a specific equalities topic. Please note that many of these resources have been sourced from external organisations and have not been produced by Scottish Union Learning.

Case Studies

Our case studies give you the chance to hear from other Equality Reps. We are producing case studies on a rolling basis. If you would like to submit a case study, please email Denise Christie. The case studies are available to download from the 'Related resources' panel on this page.

TUC Education

TUC Education offers e-learning resources aimed at helping reps keep up to date on key workplace issues. There are a number of enotes based around equalities, and each contain a mixture of text, video and quizzes. Topics include menopause support in the workplace, sexual harassment, mental health in the workplace, pregnancy and maternity discrimination, religion or belief, domestic violence, equality law, tackling the far right, and hidden disabilities.
