Work, Disability, and Social Justice Course

2022 is the Year of the Disabled Worker.

This learning programme is designed to bring people together from across the trade union movement to broadly reflect on disability, work, and social justice for future action.

The course is a unique learning opportunity for us to ensure disability issues remain an integral part of collective trade union activity in a constantly changing world.

All sessions run from 2 - 4pm.

Session 1: September 7th Exploring the history of disability justice and activism

Session 2: September 14th Imagining disability differently (models of disability and narratives about disabled workers)

Session 3: September 21st Building disability justice and access in the workplace

Session 4: September 28th Taking action for disability justice/ how unions can support disability justice.

The programme is organised by Scottish Union Learning H&I, and facilitated by Tripod Training.

Reps, members, and officials from all trade unions across Scotland are very welcome to participate.
