Book Week Scotland

Book Week Scotland is an annual celebration of books and reading that takes place across the country. Book Week Scotland 2020 will take place from 16 to 22 November.

During Book Week Scotland, people of all ages and walks of life come together to share and enjoy books and reading. They are joined in this celebration by Scotland’s authors, poets, playwrights, storytellers and illustrators to bring a packed programme of events and projects to life.

Each year, Book Week Scotland has a specific theme and this year the theme is ‘Future’. Supported by Scottish Book Trust and Scottish Union Learning, reps, members and workers will deliver and participate in ‘Future’ themed virtual book related events, and activities. These include online author reading events, storytelling activities and organising virtual book clubs.

If your union would like to take part in Book Week Scotland, further information is available on the Scottish Book Trust website http://scottishbooktrust.com/book-week-scotland
