Money Advice Scotland's new and improved course explores the meaning of financial wellbeing. They will consider the foundational elements of financial resilience, and the challenges to financial wellbeing, such as economic abuse and digital exclusion. They will also look at how money guidance/financial education can be approached when working with a client or in a group setting. This course is free of charge and open to everyone. It will be particularly well suited to those working in a supportive capacity who would like to gain a better understanding of financial wellbeing, and how to introduce money guidance into their current role.
Webinar: Pensions - 'Ask the Expert'

A study by the Money and Pensions service found that around half of the UK working age population don't feel like they know enough about pensions. Money Advice Scotland (MAS) are joining Hymans Robertson to provide an 'Ask the Expert' pension webinar. Retirement Planning is something that you may be considering now, in the future, or it may be that you want to get a better sense of what your options are. MAS understand retirement is one of the biggest decisions you'll make in your life, and we want to make the process as easy as possible for you.
MAS are running a 'Your Path to Retirement' webinar, with the purpose of:
- Sharing ideas on what you can do today to help achieve your future retirement goals
- Helping you understand the costs of retirement and the complex world of pensions
- Making you feel more financially confident
There will also be the opportunity to ask questions during the webinar.

Open Workshop: Introducing Financial Wellbeing

Rebecca, Money Advice Scotland's Financial Wellbeing Officer, will cover a range of topics including understanding your finances, meeting day to day commitments, how to withstand a financial shock, and planning for the future. Rebecca will share practical tips and strategies that you can apply to your own financial life, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions and interact with other attendees. This is an open workshop, so everyone is welcome to attend. Whether you are just starting out on your financial journey, or are looking to take your finances to the next level, this workshop is for you.

Webinar: FCA Consumer Duty

MAS are hoping to host a webinar on the FCA's new consumer duty, which was introduced in July. They are still awaiting further details regarding this event, but once these have been confirmed, an update will be posted.
