August 4, 2021, 15.00 – 16.30

As part of Scottish Union Learning's Summer Programme, we will be holding an event around deaf awareness.

In this session, we will look at what it means to be deaf or hard of hearing, and explore some practical tactics and tools to make communication easier.

Participants will get the chance to learn about frequently-used signs, get to know more about deaf culture, and develop awareness of the difficulties and issues faced by Deaf people, particularly in the workplace.

This session is open to all and will be facilitated by Handy Patter.
