Participants will be shown how to use the most important security apps to keep themselves and their families safe and secure online.

This workshop is delivered remotely and is open to all workers in Scotland. It’s a great way to improve levels of cyber security knowledge and confidence. As always, participants don’t need any technical knowledge or experience to take part.

In this session, you'll learn:

🦠 How to choose and use antimalware software to protect against viruses, worms, and trojans.

✅ How to perform software updates on your computers, phones, and tablets to keep them fast and secure.

🔒 How to turn on encryption on your computer - the strongest way to protect your data.

💽 How to backup and restore your documents, photos, and videos in case of the worst.

This workshop is organised by Scottish Union Learning and Digital Skills Education, with funding from the Scottish Government’s Cyber Resilience Unit in partnership with the UK Government.
