Union Learning Development Days (March-April 2026)

March 24, 2026 – March 31, 2026

Various Locations, Scotland

Following feedback from unions, Scottish Union Learning has re-developed our ULR Development Days/Local Learning Forums and re-launched these as Union Learning Development Days. Taking place biannually, the Union Learning Development Days will have a focussed workshop, and will look at how to support and develop local union-led learning activity. The local Trades Union Councils will contribute to the discussions on the need for local networks of trade union reps and activists.

March - April 2026 Development Days:

Scottish Union learning is running Union Learning Development Days this month in Aberdeen, Inverness and Glasgow. An April date for Fife & Tayside (Kirkcaldy) will follow in due course.

Each day will include a workshop delivered by Show Racism the Red Card and discussion on local learning activity. The local Trades Councils will look at how union branches, reps, activists and members can get more involved with their Trades Councils and the need for and importance of Trades Councils within local communities and workplaces.

Click the links below for further information and booking instructions for each location.

Please note, spaces are limited and you must have clearance from your union to attend.
