2016 Union Learner of the Year Announced
Scottish Union Learning, which is part of the
Scottish TUC, has announced that the 6th Annual Learner of the Year is Lauren
McDonald, a Communication Workers Union (CWU) member and Modern Apprentice at BT
Dial House in Glasgow. Lauren was chosen as the 2016 Learner of the Year
because of her exemplary commitment to learning as a young worker.

Cyber security in the Digital Age
In November 2015, the Scottish Government launched its first Cyber Resilience strategy for Scotland, ‘Safe, Secure and Prosperous: A Cyber Resilience Strategy for Scotland’. The aims of the strategy are to support the development of Scotland as a world leader in cyber resilience by 2020, making Scotland one of the safest places to live and carry out business transactions.
