Date and theme for Highlands and Islands 2022 Conference announced

The Scottish Union Learning Highlands and Islands 2022 Conference will take place on September 30^th. Like last year’s, it will be an online event.

‘Recovery Through Learning’ is the theme which will run throughout the event and SUL has put together a programme of workshops which focus on good mental health, digital skills, poverty awareness, creative writing, older workers and ULR development. There will also be a showcase session to highlight the excellent and varied work of SUL-funded trade union learning projects across Highlands and Islands during the last year.

Guest speakers will be:

• Roz Foyer, STUC General Secretary
• Richard Lochhead, Minister for Just Transition, Employment and Fair Work
