Ask the Expert webinar: Money and Pensions Service

Tuesday, 24th October, 11am - 12pm                               

Kevin Duffy, Scotland Partnership Manager, will provide an overview of the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) and highlight some of their free information and resources available on MoneyHelper to support financial wellbeing.

MoneyHelper, the consumer brand from MaPS, is here to make your money and pension choices clearer. Here to cut through the jargon and complexity, explain what you need to do and how you can do it. Here to put you in control with impartial guidance that’s backed by government and to recommend further, trusted direction if required.

Webinar: Buy-Now-Pay-Later and Credit Files       

Tuesday, 7th November, 2pm - 3pm

As part of their 'Ask the Expert' series, Money Advice Scotland are being joined by Experian to deliver this webinar. MAS' Financial Wellbeing Officer, Rebecca, will provide some information on Buy-Now-Pay-Later services and some of the research into how we use these services. James, from Experian, will provide some information on your credit file, your credit score and some of the changes that are coming in regarding how Buy-Now-Pay-Later services will affect your credit report and score.

Train the Trainer          

Thursday, 9th November, 09:50am - 12:30pm

MAS' new and improved course explores the meaning of financial wellbeing. They will consider the foundational elements of financial resilience and the challenges to financial wellbeing, such as economic abuse and digital exclusion. They will also look at how money guidance/financial education can be approached when working with a client or in a group setting.

This course is free of charge and open to everyone. It will be particularly well suited to those working in a supportive capacity who would like to gain a better understanding of financial wellbeing and how to introduce money guidance into their current role.
